Seller & buyer rules

So you want to sell some kit? Or maybe buy something you've seen. Well there are some simple rules to make it safe & hassle free.

Sellers:
1. Time stamped picture of the gear with your username & date.
2. Can someone vouch for you? If you are not a well known member, we'd prefer if someone could.
3. Condition & description. Make sure you describe your items accurately. We don't want someone ending up with an item that is not what they expected.
4. Realistic pricing. It may be your favourite thing in the world but set a realistic price, ask for what it is worth in the market, not just to you.
5. Bumping threads. Don't bump your to get them to the top page. If there is a legitimate reason to add another post before you have been replied to, that is fine.
6. Once item is sold & thread is no longer needed, change topic field to *sold* so it can be deleted.

Buyers:
1. Lowballing. Don't do it, it is just annoying to the person selling the item.
2. Stay on topic. There are other parts of the forum for chit chat.

In terms of payment, that is down to the buyer. The BG site is probably the best place to make transactions in person. If that is not possible or inconvenient Gilan would be willing to act as an escrow, where you would leave the item or payment with him for collection & you can collect at a date convenient for you.
If posting the item, please send it recorded delivery to avoid any issues that could arrise if an item did not arrive. As for payment, paypal is the usual secure goto.

Be honest, be safe & be sensible.
