Regulators

Some of you will have heard the mighty "muthafu**a A5" of mine brap brappin some mofos in the woods, but i was wondering this..
I gather that every marker running HPA has a regulator on the tank itself, 3000psi straight into the gun would not be a pretty sight. But, I also know that most, if not all higher end guns have at least a second regulator somewhere in between the tank and the marker. Therefore, I was wondering how much of a difference it would make in terms of the all important efficiency, as well as accuracy, it would make if i was to add one to the A5. Another point; even if it is worthwhile, is it possible for anyone to find a regulator with a recharge rate fast enough to keep up with the egrip?
